Dr. Todd Schmiedeler brings over 30 years of experience across healthcare, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurial innovation. As the Founder and CEO of Thumbprint Consulting, he has helped organizations nationwide develop workforce strategies, secure funding, and implement forward-thinking solutions — including securing more than $50.5 million in national and state grants since 2021.
Before founding Thumbprint Consulting, Todd spent a decade at Trilogy Health Services — one of the largest senior living and long-term care providers in the Midwest, operating 96+ campuses with 13,000+ employees. He rose to the role of Chief Engagement & Innovations Officer, where he led workforce development, talent engagement, and innovation initiatives across the entire organization.
At Trilogy, Todd spearheaded the $10 million Trilogy Scholar Program, training high school students for healthcare careers. He grew the Trilogy Foundation's giving from $74,000 to over $1.5 million annually, awarded thousands of employee scholarships, and built registered apprenticeship programs serving 5,000+ employees. He also led Trilogy's post-acute strategies, telemedicine initiatives, and strategic planning efforts.
Todd created AI4LTC because he saw firsthand how much time long-term care leaders lose to documentation, compliance paperwork, and administrative tasks — and how practical AI training could give that time back. AI4LTC is built on real LTC workflows, not generic tech training, because Todd knows what actually happens inside a skilled nursing facility.
